Rudraksha mala

Rudraksha mala
Posted on

You can find suitcases made of wood, precious stones, bones, seeds. Malas are used to count prayers during meditations over the years. Rudrashkas are seeds from the Eleacarpus tree, and are the oldest form of a mala and also the one we sell in our online store.

The word Rudrashka is Sanskrit and means "tears of shiva". Shiva was meditating for the good of the community, when he finished his meditations and opened his eyes, they had tears of compassion. The tears crystallized upon reaching the ground and formed the Eleacarpus tree. This tree bears a kind of blue mulberry, whose inside has a seed, the Rudrashka. The seed is sacred in Hindu and Buddhist religion.

These seeds balance our energy and attract positive thoughts. Rudrakshas are strong and last for 8 Generations. They are often associated with the 5 elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether. Our bags also combine stones, which attract different energies.
